4 Day Wildlife Uganda Safari

birdinqueenThis safari includes activities like game drives along the Kasenyi trail in Queen Elizabeth, gorilla tracking in Bwindi, boat cruising along the Kazinga channel and chimp tracking in Kyambura. Prepare yourself for the most amazing encounter.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi is normally referred to as the ‘Switzerland of Africa’ because of its glorious scenery. You will be leaving Kampala for Bwindi in the morning arriving in Buhoma or Ruhija. That evening you will be able to visit the community of the pygmies (Batwa) who will definitely make your evening with their exciting entertainment. You will retire early so that you get enough rest in preparation for the nesxt day. You will stay at Bakiga lodge that located right outside the park.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
As early as 6:00am you will be required to report to the park headquarters. Here you will be briefed before you head out into the depths of the forest to trek the gorillas. Along with the guide you will search for these gorgeous creatures and once you find them, you will be given a maximum of an hour with them. They are so peaceful and often a time will continue with their activities despite your presence. Make sure you do not interrupt their peace as you will have been told during the brief. After enjoying you will head back to the lodge to have lunch before going for a walk on the Munyaga river trail. This is a guided walk in which you will see a variety of diverse flora, rolling crystal clear waterfalls, colourful birds and lots of butterflies. If there is still time you can also take a community walk among the Batwa who live in the park.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
You will drive to Ishasha today after breakfast which is famous for its tree climbing lions. Ishasha is part of Queen Elizabeth and you will have an awesome game drive in the park looking at lions that lay peacefully in the fig trees, Kobs, bush bucks, gazelles among others. After lunch you will then explore the water animals along Kazinga channel in a boat cruise, hippos, crocodiles, elephants, Buffalos, water birds will all be there for you to see. You will then retire at Engazi lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking/ Game Drive and Transfer to Kampala
Before going back to Kampala you will first enjoy either a game drive along the Kasenyi trail seeing awesome animals like lions, topis, kobs, giraffes, warthogs, buffalos to mention but a few or chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura. You will then head to Kampala and then Entebbe in the evening to catch your flight.
