Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
On arrival our team will be waiting for you to take you your hotel for you to rest after the long journey. You will have something to eat and thereafter rest in the comfortable Metropole hotel.
Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
You will drive to the northwest of Uganda in Masindi where you will find the largest national park Murchison falls national park. The park offers gorgeous sceneries of tropical forests and acacia grassland savannah. On your way you will make a stopover at the Rhino sanctuary for a chance to see the rehabilitated rhinos which had become extinct in Uganda. Thereafter you will proceed to the national park where you will enjoy the falls has the roar from a far and sprinkle their refreshing water into your face. You will then check into Bwana Tembo safari lodge or Pakuba lodge.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
You will explore the savannah in the Nile delta on Lake Albert in an early morning game drive where you will take memorable pictures of lions, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, hyenas, leopards name it. After lunch you will also see the water animals on a boat cruise along the Nile where you will see, hippos, crocodiles, water birds like pelicans, African eagles, Kingfisher, and so much more.
Day 4: Albertine Rift Valley up to Fort Portal
You will be driving to fortportal today from the park. You eill move south west along the shores of Lake Albert and the rift valley passing through Hoima towm, the oil city. Fort portal lies in the shadows of the Rwenzori ranges which is the biggest in Africa. When you arrive, you will be received at Chimpanze forest guest house where you will have dinner and rest after the long journey.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking – Queen Elizabeth Park
You will go for a nature walk in Kibale forest national park and here you will enjoy birding, seeing chimps, red tailed monheys, colobus and velvet monkeys chasing each in circles around you. You will also visit the Bigodi eco-tourist site and then leave for Queen Elizabeth in the evening.
Day 6: Inside Queen Elizabeth Park
We shall take a morning game drive around the park after breakfast concentrating on the northern part of the park mainly. Lions, buffaloes, elephants, water bucks, spotted hyenas, leopards, the Ugandan kob call this home. The Albertine Rift valley, crater lakes and landscapes give Queen Elizabeth a distinctive look you cannot find anywhere. Before you can get enough of that, you will go on a boat safari along Kazinga channel from Mweya peninsula.
This has a fathomable concentrate of water loving animals including crocodiles, hipos that can be seen yawning by the shores, buffaloes and elephants enjoying the freshness of the water too can be seen. You cannot forget the water birds like flamingos and all this will immerse you into a feeling of ecstasy wondering how blessed Uganda can be. You will then return to the park and will get accommodation at Enganzi lodge or Mweya Safari lodge.
Day 7: Ishasha Sector
Ishasha is still part of Queen Elizabeth but this one is found in the southern part of the park. It is mostly famous for tree climbing lions. Then can be best seen in the hot hours of the day as the lazy lazily in the fig trees of the vast savannah. Ishasha also has elephants, buffalos, antelopes, topis and so much more. You will enjoy this game drive around Ishasha. Later you will relax to delicious food at Ishasja jungle lodge.
Day 8: Ishasha – Bwindi Forest National Park
You will leave Queen Elizabeth after breakfast in the morning and drive south towards Bwindi Impenetrable national park. This is a natural habitat for mountain gorillas and prepare yourself for the thrilling gorilla trekking. You will arrive at Bwindi jungle lodge where you will have a very nice meal, relax and rest as you wait for the following fun packed days.
Day 9: Mountain Gorilla Trek
Bwindi alone has about 370 mountain gorillas which is about half the number in the whole world. This shows you how endangered these animals are. Trekking mountain gorillas begins in the morning because locating these animals takes abit of time from 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. You will have a game ranger who knows eatly where to find them and when you reach there, you will spend with them a maximum of 1 hour and then leave. Within this one hour you will learn alot about these animals and also take as many pictures as you can. Esure that you pack some lunch and water along and incase you need someone to carry for you your bag, porters are available on request. You will spend the night at Bwindi jungle lodge after this tiresome but incredible experience.
Day 10: Transfer up to Lake Bunyonyi
You will drive to lake Bunyonyi in the morning after breakfast. It is located in Kigezi region near Kabale and here you will have a splendid experience on a guided canoe ride on the lake. You will also enjoy birding as well as exploring the communities around with the different activities they carry out and the mode of their unique lifestyle. You will get accommodation at AArcadia cottages Bunyomyi which is a mid range resort near the lake.
Day 11: Transfer from Bunyonyi up to Lake Mburo
You will leave Bunyonyi and head to the smallest park of all parks in Uganda Lake Mburo national park. The game drive will enable you see elands, gorgeous impalas, antelopes, zebras. Topis as well as buffalos. You will spend the night at Rwakobo rock lodge found outside the park.
Day 12: Lake Mburo – Entebbe
Before heading back to Kampala you will have a short game drive for the last time and then you can return to Kampala just in time for your flight back home.
